Let’s keep going!

There’s not much stuff in Splatoon/2 that is in all caps and translatable. So, we’re going to have to go through with some lowercase letters.

We’ll start off with this picture and work our way upwards. We know that Callie and Marie’s Japanese names are Aori and Hotaru (アオリ and ホタル), and since those two names at the bottom start with an A and an H, respectively, we can assume it spells out “Aori” and “Hotaru.” 6 letters down, 20 to go.

There are more letters here, too! Since we know the what the second and third words say, it looks to us like it says “t?e FOOD TRUCK ?an??oo?”, which looks like it might say “the FOOD TRUCK handbook,” only the B & K are the same… Wait! Do you see it? The B and the K?

If you look close enough, you’ll see that the assumed K is shorter and fatter than the assumed B! (I know I’m going out on a limb here, but bear with me, please)

We’ve got more on the line here, folks!

There looks to be some more letters on the top left that I’m interested in. Let’s get a closer look at that, shall we?

If we use our code again, we get “ANEMO” at the top (Anemo is Annie’s Japanese name, アネモ), and something we can’t translate, that looks like “?rodu?e”. You might already know what it says, but first let’s look at the bottom.

We have something that says “t?otto ?e?ura?hi ?ear Shop.” Since it is a gear shop, we’ll assume the last two words say “Gear Shop” (Google Translate tells me that “gear” and “shop” are both translated into Katakana [ギア  ショップ], so my “Inkling is Japanese” theory holds true.) And this is where I stopped. Why? Because…

I’m sorry to say, I don’t know Japanese. Which means I’m probably not qualified for this job. AKA I can’t figure out what the heck those first two words are. I’m sorry about that. But, other than that we get (you were right, it is produce) “ANEMO PRODUCE: t?otto ?e?ura?hi Gear Shop.” If anyone knows what it says, leave a comment!

EDIT: Hello again. So, after forgetting about Inklingo for a while, I decided to start looking for this word again. And I found it. (At least, I think I did.)

「珍し」 (Mezurashi)

Why? Well, first of all, the letters “M” “Z” and “S” all seem to fit. ^{Don’t mind my notes (the lines).} Secondly, 珍し[い] means rare/unusual (and the Splatnet 2 Gear Shop sells rare gear, anh?). But I’m still tooking for “t?otto” (but I think it might be ちょっと[?])!
